Yen Tu Composing Camp 2020 – the Workshop of Fine Arts and Architecture Visualization is a cooperation program between Tung Lam Development Joint Stock Company – the investor of Truc Lam Cultural Center, People's Committee of Uong Bi City and the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, National University of Civil Engineering. "Composing camp" took place from June 26th to 28th, 2020 in Yen Tu and tourist attractions in Uong Bi city. Yen Tu Composing Camp 2020 has the participation of cultural experts, 60 members who are artists, photographers and musicians of the Association of Culture and Arts in Quang Ninh province and Uong Bi city, along with lecturers and students at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, National University of Civil Engineering.
This is a new program which is full of nature and attraction; it is also a highly specialized activity giving students the opportunity to learn, expand their knowledge and interact with reality. The Faculty of Architecture and Planning has sent 06 instructors along with 28 students, these are students who have registered to apply, excellently surpassed more than 100 candidates, qualified to participate in the program.
Yen Tu Mountain is a special place of Quang Ninh province, the holy land of Truc Lam zen, a special national monument, and it is also a national forest with many tangible and intangible cultural heritages surrounded by the beautiful and majestic natural landscape. Many cultural experts, researchers and artists have come here to get inspired to compose works of various types of art such as poetry, singing, and painting ... Experiencing the culture of Yen Tu sacred land, condensed through fine art works and interacting with local writers and artists is a great opportunity for students to join the program.
"Composing camp" stretches from the foot of the mountain to the top of Dong Pagoda, on the rugged terrain, in the harsh weather condition, typical of Yen Tu. However, with methodical, serious, professional working plans and methods, the creativity and enthusiasm of the youth have been maximized by the students. 50 works were completed after more than a day of continuous labor; the results surprised both the instructors and the organization committee. The works were exhibited at the Khai Tam Hall of Truc Lam Yen Tu Cultural Area. The exhibition was welcoming special guests: Master Thich Tue Phuc - Standing Deputy, Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen Monastery; Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Uong Bi People's Committee; Mr. Bui Dinh Tuan - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tung Lam Development Joint Stock Company; Mr. Le Trong Thanh - Deputy General Director of Tung Lam Development Joint Stock Company ; Mr. Tran Van Long - Head of Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage, along with local artists and numerous pilgrims visiting the relic. The exhibition has brought the viewers a new, bold, different feeling, and full of "Architecture".
The exhibition ended successfully. It opened up promising future cooperation prospects between Uong Bi City, Truc Lam Cultural Center and the Faculty of Architecture and Planning. In addition, the exhibition has brought memories that will forever remain in the hearts of National University of Civil Engineering students.
